Vouched App, Inc. (d/b/a Candor)
This document is a restoration, and its wording has not been changed. The standards below were presented in the Candor app as a required agreement — there was no decline and no skip — from 22 July 2026 until 30 August 2026. Members who accepted them have a timestamped record of doing so.
They are republished here word for word so that the document members agreed to is available to read. The only editorial additions are the section headings, which the in-app screen did not have, and the closing note about appeals.
Candor runs on real names. The people who vouched for you can see how you show up — and so can everyone else. That’s the whole point.
Candor brings together people from all walks of life. Different backgrounds, different beliefs, different identities, different reasons for being here. That variety is the point — you cannot be genuinely vouched for by people who all think exactly like you.
Treat everyone here the way the person who vouched for you would expect you to. Disrespect toward anyone for who they are — their race, religion, background, gender, orientation, disability, or anything else about them they did not choose — has no place on Candor and will be removed.
You do not have to be interested in everyone. You do have to be decent to everyone.
So: be someone worth vouching for. Disagree without being cruel.
If someone crosses a line, report them. We review every report and act within 24 hours.
Harassment, hate, and threats will get you removed.
How reports are handled — who reviews them, what we may do about them, and how to ask us to look again if we decide not to act — is set out in our Safety Centre. The enforcement ladder and the full list of prohibited conduct are in our Acceptable Use Policy.
These standards were amended once while they were in force. On 9 August 2026 the passage quoted below was added, and nothing else changed. It was inserted immediately after the opening paragraph (“Candor runs on real names…”) and immediately before “So: be someone worth vouching for. Disagree without being cruel.”
The passage added on 9 August 2026, in full and word for word:
“Respect is not optional here.”
“Candor brings together people from all walks of life. Different backgrounds, different beliefs, different identities, different reasons for being here. That variety is the point — you cannot be genuinely vouched for by people who all think exactly like you.”

One presentational note, so the quotation can be matched exactly: in the original screen the first line read “Respect is not optional here.” as a bold line of body text, with a full stop. On this page it is set as a section heading, without the full stop. The wording is otherwise unchanged.
